Obituary of Ralph Anastasio

Ralph Anastasio, 82, passed away on Saturday July 6, 2019 at his residence in Monroe Twp.  Ralph was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1964, settling in Monroe Twp. 6 years ago.  Ralph proudly served his country in the US Army.  Ralph was employed by the US Customs Service and the US Postal Service until the late 1960's when he joined the NYPD as a Senior Police Administrative Aide.  He was one of the first civilian employees.  Ralph was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks in Staten Island and he enjoyed watching old Western movies.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Regina Anastasio of Monroe Twp, his son, George Anastasio and his wife Randi of Bridgewater, two daughters: Roberta Anastasio-Franklin and her husband Robert and Angela Anastasio and her husband Donald, all of Staten Island, five grandchildren: Joseph Lebron and his wife Jaclyn, Jennifer Mattera and her husband John, Phillip Balseca, Jeremy Anastasio and Matthew Anastasio, six great grandchildren: Joseph Jr., Mia, Mikayla, Julianna, JJ and Azante, two brothers: Joshua 'Jesse' Anastasio and his wife Doris of Toms River and Albert Anastasio and his wife Betty of Arizona and two sisters: Louise DeCicco of Long Island and Patricia Francioni and her husband Marino of Coral Gables, FL.  Also surviving are many extended family members and friends. 

Visitation will be 1-5pm on Sunday July 14, 2019 and 11-11:45am on Monday July 15, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com.  A funeral service will be 11:45am on Monday July 15, 2019 at the funeral home followed by interment in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery - Wrightstown.
