Michael John Petosa, 82, died on Thursday January 24, 2019 at Centra State Hospital in Freehold, NJ. Michael was born, raised and resided in Staten Island, NY for most of his life before moving to Monroe Township, NJ. Michael was the founder, owner and operator of Fisherman’s Wharf and Richmond Ave Fish Market in Staten Island, NY for twenty five years, retiring in 2002. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed traveling to Florida. Michael was also a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RCC. Michael is preceded in death by his son, Frank Petosa and his brothers; Nick and Carmine Petosa. Michael is survived by his loving wife of fifty nine years, Anna (Castaldi) Petosa of Monroe Township, NJ, daughters; Diana Tauriello and her husband Nicholas of Monroe Township, NJ, Laura Viani and her husband Enrico of Monroe Township, NJ, sister-in-law, Rose Mannino of Staten Island, NY, six grandchildren; Dayna Seixeiro and her husband Sergio Seixeiro, Anthony Viani, Nicholas Tauriello, III, Marissa Tauriello, Christopher Viani, Enrico Viani, Jr., and two great-granddaughters, Julianna and Angelina Seixeiro. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:00am on Monday, January 28, 2019 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:45am on Monday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park - South Brunswick.
